About Us

Sierra Cascade Land Stewards, Inc. (SCLS) is a consulting forestry and natural resource management firm specializing in forest health, fuels reduction, and land stewardship across northern California. SCLS was founded by Evan Watson in 2021. ​​

Our team has extensive experience in planning, permitting, and implementing large, medium and small-scale forest management and fuels reduction projects across land ownerships, including federal, industrial private, and small private lands. We work collaboratively with Resource Conservation Districts (RCDs), CAL FIRE, U.S. Forest Service partners, non-profit organizations, and private landowners to improve forest resilience and reduce wildfire risk reduction, especially in key watershed landscapes.
